SNDK which I bought before the close at a "bargain" at 11.70 is no even more of a "Bargain" (g).

I needed to supply my staff with USB Compact flash hard drives this week. I couldn't decide to go with 128 Mb flash memory cards from Sandisk or 96 Mb cards from Micron. Price was about $55 vs $45 difference between them so I bought 3 of each.
The problem is the respective companies aren't making money at these prices. Companies that survive will be the ones with lots of cash to get through next 12 months of tough times.

MSFT earnings should be rather uneventful since they are still tied to Intel's unit volumes which are up and widely tracked. I got a good feeling they will be upbeat on Office XP sales over next 12 months. The extention of the mandatory upgrade to Office XP by Oct 2001 to June 2002 didn't stop them from recent stricter enforcement of 1 licensed copy of Office software per computer.
