re; The SanDisk cards are slow, slow, slow

I dont see that BillyG,
Looking at the results,
For the 995 the Sandisk card is roughly twice as fast as Simple.
For the D30, half as fast.

Similar very variable results for the other tests, which compare 512 cards with 128, which is not like-with-like. I have seen many anecdotal reports that bigger cards are slower than smaller ones.

I would have liked to have seen some 128 or 256 'Ultra 'results, I dont know if Sandisk makes them.

I think the following rate above speed;
1) Getting your card in the original camera because consumers like to buy another one the same
2)Getting the camera vendor to OEM your card because consumers like to buy another one the same
3) getting shelf and advertising space so when the consumer wanders into best buy they dont have a hard decision about what to buy, given it all looks the same, because they'll pay a few more dollars for a 'name' brand.

I think Sandisk is doing an OK but not great job in all these respects and I hope they are working harder

So I dont understand why you say its slow?

The simple Tech is also a Type 2, which is somewhat restricted, most cameras are Type1.
