OT war thoughts:

Read "Oil, God and Gold : The Story of Aramco and the Saudi Kings" about the genesis of the Saudi state, and you will find that the Wahabbi warriors play a pivotal role in seating Saud in the 1920's. They seem to have departed company ideolotically with the policies of the ruling class in a significant way. Bin Ladin represents one wing of what we call the "fundementalists", a movement that I suspect has lots of support in the Saudi kingdom from powerful people. (Why, I don't know.) I think its very possible that we will find ourselves getting thrown out of SA, or embroiled in a situation like Britain vs Ireland if we insist on staying. Time frame? Probably over the next couple of years...especially true if the price of oil goes down and stays down. This movement seems to be related to the high birthrate of previous years and frusturated young adults not able to hook into the largess of the Western lifestyle as they enter their working years.
