We shall see. I'm wondering if the bulk of American Middle East policy in the last 40 years (other than the agreement negotiated in Camp David) has really made us safer here at home. I'm drawing a blank. There are people on this thread who are wholly ignorant about the U.S. (CIA) role putting the Shah of Iran in place via a bloody coup and what a horribly repressive regime that was.
