SysMark 2001 / Win2k
P4-1.70 = 132 ("patch 3")
Ce-1.20 = 129

Quake III Demo001 (not sure if configs are the same)
P4-1.70 = 181.6
Ce-1.20 = 142.5

Aargh, this is annoying. I was hoping on finding a review comparing a P4/i850 against a Celeron-1.20. Unfortunately, the best I could do was two Tom's articles where the configurations were not identical. :(

Jim may be exaggerating, or he may be accurate. It is difficult to tell. The P4-1.50/i845 is probably faster than the Celeron-1.10, but the Celeron-1.20 (which is Tualatin-based) could very well be faster than a P4-1.60/i845. We really need a wide range of benchmarks comparatively testing these parts, and such a thing has apparently not yet materialized. :(
