Hi Peter!
Welllll, I can see our discussions can take us far beyond just comparing a couple companies.

First, allow me to explain my speculating philosophy... Any issue which I intend to buy or sell, I am doing for a short term profit....My definition of "short term" can range from a day up to several
months and if an issue does not perform to my expectations I will get out and move on to another. That's not to say that I may not go back to that issue, since if my research shows that it should move more than it has, I'll just watch it....

Second, I am doing this full-time, so I watch my issues everyday and in certain cases every minute in the hopes of knowing the best time to get in, out or sell short.

Now, off to our issue at hand....Since December when I bought my first warrants, I have learned to like them immensely for their leverage value...Sooooo, I got this great idea of researching every NASDAQ issue with warrants, selecting those with the best up potential, kick back and wait for the stocks to rise.... Unfortunatley, IBD's listing of warrants makes it very difficult but of the 75 companies that I could decipher, I have narrrowed down to approx 35 companies.... I really don't care what the price (not "value") of the warrant is as long as the company meets the basic research criteria.

Of the remaining 35 companies, I am beginning with the EDGAR filings for details on a company,it's mgmt, product potential and of course, warrant details....From there I use all of the internet threads i can find to fill out the picture and get a "feeling" of what I am going to do with the comnpany---place in the "no action" file, the"watch and buy" file, or the "hot-buy now!" file.

ARIA falls into the biotech category which has many companies situating for the take-off....ARIA was an IPO three years ago with their price at 1 and rising to 8 1/2 in Feb,97 and falling back to 6 curently. Four funds own shares and 19 institutions own shares for approx 11% of the outstanding shares. Mgmt owns about 14%....However, after searching EDGAR I ended up with more questions than answers.... I called the investor relations contact today but I did not get a return call....BUT so far it seems to have the right stuff!!

Aid Auto Store is new to me!!! But I'll be glad to do a little digging and see what I come up with....

DCRN is also a new IPO (7/96) and it is very tough to find good fundamental info...

I'll be glad to share my shortened list of companies with warrants but it would be best via e-mail, since it doesn't relate to this thread. If there is anything i can help with just e-mail me at acrump@IBM.net and if there is more info we can dig up on DCRN, let's do it!!

Take Care, Arland
