(OTCBB:VRDE) a Health Care products company focusing on "INFECTION CONTROL" and other "HEALTHY LIFESTYLE" products announced for the period ending June 30, 2001 the financial results reflect a consolidated gross revenue of $679,975 for the second quarter, which is an increase of 439% compared with the first quarter 2001. Veridien Corporation (OTC BB:VRDE), announced that a United States Patent (#5,925,052) was granted for the invention of the Umbilical Surgical Scissors. The medical device is intended to be used to clamp the umbilical cord approximately three quarters of an inch from the newborn while simultaneously clamping the cord on the placental side. The device constricts the cord in both places to prevent loss and splattering of blood, severing it in one single clean motion, with the clamp attached to the cord closest to the baby remaining in place for 48 to 78 hours until cord is dry. June 1, 2000--Veridien Corporation (OTCBB:VRDE) a Health Care products company focusing on infection control and other "HEALTHY LIFESTYLE" products announced today that the Company has received additional purchase orders for towelette canisters bringing the initial orders to in excess of $2 million, 60% above the projections recently reported in the March 30, 2000 press release. In addition, Veridien is still on target to launch its own national brand line of disinfectant towelette canisters and sachet dispensers using its patented formula under the trademark VIRAGUARD(R). Ken Chester, Managing Director of Operations stated, "We are excited with the initial demand for canisters to the international market and are currently expanding manufacturing capacity with our strategic partners in order to provide the large quantities anticipated to meet the growing demand. We are currently taking VIRAGUARD(R) orders for our June 2000 launch."
