Hawk, please do not dignify the libelous crap that Thomas posts by implying that it represents, in any way shape or form, orthodox halacha. Orthodox halacha actually puts a very high value on saving life -- Jewish or not -- even if you have to break laws, such as keeping the Sabbath, that are otherwise very important. The rule is called 'pikuach nefesh', the saving of a soul. BTW, orthodox halacha never claims that only Jews have souls or only Jews have a share of the world to come. Tradition says that's why only one first man, Adam, was created -- so no could say, my race is more human than yours. |
