I think you are giving these guys too much credit.. I am thinking this is nothing more elaborate then OBL and cronies after fighting Russia and eventually getting Afghanistan as a playground decided to put up their version of what a so called Islamic country should look like.. Pretty pathetic, if you ask me.. OBL bankrolled it.. Controlled it and directed it.. Ethnic mix is volatile but it seems to me these are mercenaries who are paid pretty well until now and pretty soon it is going to crumble since the banker is on the run..

In any case, after conquering Afghanistan (in his mind)pretty soon he thinks, not happy with Saudis for not accepting his help and in bed with Americans.. And kicking him out.. There are a lot of bored and probably disgruntled Saudi so see if he can create a little more chaos and use one pretext or other massacre whole bunch of people.. May be he even believe some how that will get him a lot of converts.. since there are a lot of unhappy folks all around who are confused enough to believe anything.. May be he thinks he will be able to pull some thing off and if not at least get into the history books.. His version of megalomania..
