I believe you started this off saying that Intel lost money in the quarter as a result of purchasing stock. That's not considered a loss item in either pro-forma or GAAP accounting practices. As far as buying stock to supply it as stock options, that's part of the cost of doing business. They all do it, but nobody calls it a loss. Over and out, wasting time here.
