I dunno, I'd think police is very much accessible everywhere. Aren't they all over the place ? I know some women are treated bad, but its individual who treat them bad. I don't see why Saudi Govt should be blamed for that. America has women sold into servitude too but I wouldn't say Govt encouraged it or that it was a universally accepted phenomenon here !

Yes, I know SA is different. Know about Bahrain angle too <g>, but i was specifically talking about the law and order. One thing they are big on, is law and order....right ? You may have a point though, I have never been to SA. My words were from the perspective of one whose lived in Dubai, and has been to Oman.....two of the nicest places in the world for me...

I am not a fan or Saudi or Islam. I guess the problems I have are when people tend to distort facts to make an entire region, or nation, or people bad. Most people haven't even been there ! Good and bad exists everywhere. Its kinda strange to hear someone says "They're all bad and we're all good, so nuke them !"

I think there has to be a better way of handling societal and cultural differences....

JMHO. Of course.
