Petz, AMD has a very high share of the others and that may indlude SD shops, and that share is climbing.
It is also possible that Gartner underestimates the SD shops who might be 20% VIA parts, as well as AMD and Intel which means that Intel does not dominate the others and SD as it does the top 5 makers. In fact without dell Intel would suck bigtime, so we know why Intel needs Dell, dell does not need Intel....they used that to lever Intel down and that is why we heard all those rumors....Dell was playing with AMD to tease Intel. If Intel did not dance to dells tune we would have another 4 million AMD cpus replacing a like amount of Intel parts.
I am sure dell has checked out AMD and knows quite well that their parts make good boxes and they stayed with Intel for $$.

This means that Intel has a true weakness....they need huge volume...more than anyone can buy once they are 100% at .13.

If they try to make their chips larger cache wise with small features to eclipse(their dream) they will end up with the costs of .13 without the benefit.
