Janice - I do hope you'll join me for breakfast one day at Manuela's in Harlingen, Texas. They serve the finest breakfast tacos this side of ...well... Mexico. Just barely this side, I might add.

Manuela's starts with freshly handmade, small, thick flour tortillas grilled to order. They are wrapped around a sumptuously spiced mixture of potatos, eggs, chorizo, beans, onions, or whatever else your heart desires. With a generous portion of fresh chipotle salsa, they're just the thing to start the day.
I'm worried about penni, though....from the sounds of her shopping expedition, she may have been buying the frozen imitations. Kinda like Mexican Lego Waffles. No more like the real thing than those plastic tiki lanterns. Any chance you could teach the kids to cook, penni? |
