Hi Addi

First, I like to thank you for modifying the name of the thread… and my apologies for taking so long to respond to the remainder of the link you had posted before….

Now, on the issue of Human Rights… verse 3:110 says that Muslims "were" the best of nations brought to mankind…and it adds why, because they enjoined good and denounced the forbidden… as you see Addi, it is qualified… the translation in the reference does not reference that qualifier because it does not serve their purpose… and I am sure that you realize the difference in the two statements…”You were the best nation to mankind” and “you are the best nation to mankind”

Addi, you will have to forgive me for I am unable to respond to what the any Hadiths the poster references in that post… first, I have no means of authenticating whether it is a true Hadith or not, second, the Hadiths may have been said in relation to certain circumstances that I have no means of finding out what they were… I only have the Holy Quran and try to translate the verses of it to the best of my knowledge to demonstrate to you and others the twisted translations and how one can take it out of context…

Addi, did you know that the Holy Quran says that God favored the Israelites ? well, if you did not know, it is verse…(2:47) ... so, how do you reconcile both statements...?

Now, on the issue of Democracy … Islam is the religion, and Muslims are the ones who believe in it… a Muslim submits to the rule of God …. Having said that, in Quran there are numerous verses that dictates that the leader or the decision maker has to consult with others before making the final decision...but keep in mind it has to be under the guidance of the Holy Quran… the only difference here with today’s democracies, is that the guidance in today’s democracies is the constitution and man made laws… Muslims accept the Holy Quran as their guide… what is wrong with that ? and why are people unhappy about that when the state of Israel is based on the Holy Torah ?

As for the issue of Violence in Islam… I went to the referenced verses (8:13-17) , (8:60) and (9:14) but was unable to find anything close to the referenced translation… I like to ask you a favor, get a copy of the Holy Quran in Farsi, and read the verses mentioned and judge for yourself... and for the benefit of others… the referenced verses are merely support for any Muslim engaged or engaging in a battle…

Addi, I hope that I addressed all the alleged issues in that post… if I fell short of satisfying your desire to learn more, then I apologize… I suggest that you seek the truth by going to the origin and not twisted translations...

Regards
amein
