My reliable market indicator is the Point and Figure NYSE Bullish Percent. When it reverses down from above 70% it's look out below, and when it reverses up from below 30% it means that the bottom has been seen. You can't bet Ma's farm on anything, but I'm confident that you can loosen up when the NYSE BP gives its buy signal.

If you go back on this thread a ways you'll find my "100x quarterly earnings" gauge for LLTC, which indicates that whenever LLTC is trading for as low as 100 times quarterly earnings you can and probably should buy some. But that puts a buy target on this stock of $14 in these highly unusual times. The prior buy target was something like $31, which would have worked out pretty well thus far. Obviously, I didn't follow this gauge closely in recent weeks.
