Why in the world are the media reporting on U.S. troop movements?

I keep wondering about this myself -- but given the Kittyhawk is out there - where presumably they can send in troops without the press being aware -- I am wondering if they are using reports of movement by the press intentionally.

You know, disinformation and all.

At any rate I'm sure the military is aware of what will and won't be reported and plans accordingly.

ps, I don't know if the aircraft they would want to use for deployment have the range to operate from Kittyhawk although some reports seemed to suggest that was the whole purpose for that carrier.

psps, I don't disagree with your sentiment however.
