Arland: Good stuff..I'm with you.

1. I think you and I are on a similar wavelength regarding warrants. I've been examining them for a while but my success rate with actually investing in them is poor. I'm surprised at how difficult it is to find decent info about warrants on the web - at a minimum I would expect to find a complete listing somewhere (the IBD listing is pitiful). You may want to try secapl.com and search for 'wts' or 'ws 97', 'ws 98', etc. ('ws' alone overloads the system). This approach is cumbersome due to the many false positives and the many more likely false negatives.

2. I participate on the Ariad thread on SI and I have been in contact with the company. My questions (mostly regarding their science - I am involved in the biomedical sciences) were answered rapidly and concisely. The investment community has a favorable opinion of ARIA; however, I think we agree on the overall assessment-biotech companies with few products on the market must be approached gingerly.

More later.

P.S. Check into M.H. Meyerson wts. (MHMY/MHMYW). I actually made money on these this past spring. Whereas the stock price is now about the same as when I sold the wts., the wts are down ~40%. Go figure.
