I consider it traitorous, and all the synonyms of faithlessness, to apply to anyone who taunts us by saying we are wrong to be fighting them.
I suppose that, unfortunately in this case, the free speech clause of the Constitution protects them and we must honor it. That rankles though, because I also feel that, considering what has happened, they are traitors who are taking advantage of the willingness and bravery of men and women who defend and protect them.

See if we can find some democrats in that country to provide an interim government and write a decent constitution.
Hold elections in 2-3 years.
Provide Afghanistan with a mini-Marshall Plan- -food, medicine, fuel now, and education and infrastructure for the long term. And that education includes women. |
