>> not to mention foreign investment dollars. billions upon billions upon billions stacked on more billions. <<

more ignorance on display. now you are trying to say that my views or buchanan's views advocate not taking in foreign investment or doing business with the rest of the world, even though that has never been the case in our country before. it is possible to do business and conduct trade with the world without surrendering national sovereignty.

it's a shame that you and buschman can't grasp such a simple concept. actually i think bob can grasp it (how about u?), but he wouldn't have a leg to stand on if he actually had to debate my actual views, rather than the extreme viewpoints he seeks to attribute as mine. i simply want to return to the policies of washington, hamilton, lincoln, etc., all who were NOT isolationists.

i will say it once more so you guys can't pull this trick again:

you can look at it like a spectrum. there is isolation on one extreme, intervention on the other extreme, and independence right in the middle. i am a nationalist and a protectionist which puts america's interests first--and second, and third as well. that does not equate to sealing ourselves off from the rest of the world, as much as you and rd would like to settle the argument without debate by brandishing me that way.
