Jay yes if it is not uniform across the nation and the public is apt to forget their income is not taxed.

My brother hopped the border to do his major shopping in the US groceries included. The savings offered a free weekend vacation outside of his city. As the currency difference became greater the savings and the excursions to US shopping centers became less.

Many major cities in Canada are very close to the US border.

Great for the US hotel business this side but could end up
playing heck on the retail outlets there.
