I've been accumulating tech for LT in IRA lately. Personally, I think the markets have seen their lows (barring another major terrorist attack). Some testing of those lows is likely forthcoming for the next few months, but I guess everyone has an opinion. Will live on swing trades in the meantime.
Also been scooping us energy shares: KEG, NBR, ESV, APC. PTEN a target as well.
GNSS & QLGC, although doing well, will probably not give you as great return as some of the beaten down networking/telecom/software/storage stocks once the recovery ensues. As you point out, the key is to pick the winners, as some will not survive. I've got initial positions in JDSU, ONIS, PHTN, SEBL, ORCL, NTAP, SUNW and JNPR. In addition to the above two. I shall be interested in seeing reports from the likes of NUFO and CORV to ascertain survivability. On paper NUFO has nice value, though.
