The Northern Alliance are the guys who opened the door to the Taliban by their corruption and arbitrary violence. They convinced a large proportion of the Afghan population that ANYTHING ELSE was better. Not exctly a recommendation.

Look, we can we can just walk away again and let the Afghanis, Pakistanis, Saudis, and whoever else wants in sort it out like we did last time. That's OK with me too. But you see where it got us.
