I hope it doesn't turn into that. We've been warned by the younger Bush that this could take a long time. I doubt that we'll have the patience. We're looking for another hundred hour war that Bush Sr. ran with abbreviated results. And who can blame us? We are still fearful of what we now call quagmires. We are reassured by our military technology that can take out a tick on bin Laden's butt. Why shouldn't it be quick and easy? We haven't the stomach for it otherwise. Perhaps we should but, again, perhaps we can't blame ourselves if we don't.
