Is Cube inside??................................ japanbiztech.com Digital Editing Technology Being Exported to Japan June 19, 1997 (Seoul) -- Korean multimedia specialist KST Co. is exporting its digital picture editing technology to a Japanese multimedia distribution company in Tokyo, Novac Co Ltd. The two companies also agreed to cooperate in developing and distributing DVD products. KST's Digital Studio digital editing software features a special effects editor for digitized moving pictures. The software is differentiated from conventional systems because it can edit full-screen pictures. KST claims the product has more special effects than Adobe's Premier, at a price 20 percent lower. KST said it plans to export to Japan via Novac with at least 50,000 units in 1997, totaling US$2.8 million. DVD products are expected to be available by the end of 1997, company officials said. KST succeeded in independently developing DVD-picture-compressing machines last month. The machines feature a real-time compression function for motion pictures.
