Can't we take over the neighborhood from the kitchen?
I am very partial to kitchens.

But seriously, SI will always lean heavily to the right. It is, after all, a site devoted ostensibly to investing and stocks. And while liberals may invest, I don't think it is usually their raison d'etre. For conservatives money seems much more integral to their sense of who they are. If you notice they often have to bring up how successful they are financially (like anyone believes anyone else about that on SI?) ot they need to talk about business opportunities under Republicans as opposed to Democrats- and they are always squawking about environmental measures and their "costs" (becuase science is too "uncertain" to do anything about anything, until ...it's too late?). Anyway, I am amazed at the number of liberal people I've met here- considering the nature of the site. But considering who posts on SI, it isn't worth taking over. It's like taking over Hell. WHY would you want to take over a bunch of lost souls?

Much better to have a little corner, and let the lost souls wander where they will. It's probably better they spend all day here- so they can't be out doing mischief.
