Real help would be an interesting strategy. I'm all for it. Is the right wing trumpeting women's rights over there? I hadn't noticed. They've been trumpeting lots of other stuff, but I hadn't noticed a great concern for women. I know the left has been concerned over that. Just as I think it was the left that was more concerned over the destruction of the Buddhist statues. The right tends to be alloyed with religions other than Buddhism, so you (or at least I) wouldn't expect them to care much about Buddhas- and they didn't seem to. Of course I'm not really a true leftist when it comes to interfering "for the good" of other cultures. I'm fairly hands off.
