Hi Tim, No, I wouldn't count that person as a Taliban member. The point you're raising is interesting: What, exactly, counts as membership in the Taliban? I'm under the impression that it's not a simple declaration of agreement with Taliban rules and objectives, but involves indoctrination and vows of some sort. Does anyone have any information on this?
