Kirk, it is very interesting how everyone blames Israel for the "refugees" problem. I was a refugee myself, for two months, but somehow, someone took care of me and made sure this very unpleasant experience does not last more than two months. The world has created 100 MM refugees during the last century, from Sikhs being forced out of Pakistan (more than a million or so some fifty years ago) to Greek forced out of Turkey and countless other places, but only the Palestinian's refugee problems remains unsolved. There where the same number of Jewish refugees escaping from Arab countries in the late 40' early fifties, but they and their children are no longer refugees (a number of them rose to become cabinet members), why was not the "Palestinian Refugees" problems solved? Because no one wanted to, or the contrary, too many "powers" did not want the problem resolved. During the cold war, they served as a political pawn between the west and the east, and more recently they are a political pawn of their own leadership. The plight of the Palestinian refugees is not an "Israeli problem" it is an Arab problem (just as the Jewish refugees from Arab countries was an Israeli problem) they could and still can solve it with the $600/$800 Billions the Saudi and other oil rich countries have stashed all over the world. They don't have to donate that money, they just need to invest it (and a very good investment it will be) in solving the Palestinian refugees problems.
