"Remember that there are still tons of Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 machines out there being used daily."

Windows 3.1? Wrong. Not in any major company today.

Software as a service, is a good thing.

Regular upgrades to keep current, reduce the complexities of having multiple version of Software in the corporate environment. This is nothing new. IT departments have been doing this for decades with mainframes, then midrange servers and now it's finally come to PC's.

"2 Years is a very unnatural period." Really? What is a "natural" period?

"On Macintosh and Linux you don't have to pay after two years"
Same for Windows. Unless you want High volume discounts and corporate support. Your choice.
