Re missing Gorillas,

I wasn't addressing "missing" Gorillas as as much of a problem as failing to miss non Gorillas. Big difference.

The problem isn't so much failing to attract all of the spectacular gains possible as it is accidentally diluting whatever spectacular gains you do attract with a few almost spectacular losses too. Where the terms "gain" and "loss" are measured against opportunity cost.

And I know by bitter experience that it's a lot easier to lose money than it is to make it.

Plus the mathematical imbalance of percentages: a 50% loss neutralizes a 100% gain.
