You do realize that the Romans had many foreigners in their armies.

Well, I have walked around the Cumbrian highlands...Just south of Hadrain's Wall. The Romans were incredibly well organized. I have visited several old Roman Forts. Still complete with parade ground and steam bath house (very necessary in that part of the world after a hard day bashing down rebellions in the snow)

For example one of them was occupied by Legions from Dacia
A record were kept on each of the 600 odd soldiers.

Yes, the day to day war was fought by the foreign legions

The number of foreign legions was balanced by a similar number of Roman troops. Very sensible if you you think about it.

Not everyone is perfect -g-, why not make some use of the guys who don't "fit in"
