I really have no idea. I wouldn't buy a new computer if it were offered at that price without having to purchase anything else to get the rebate. I don't need another one and that's exactly why it's a buyer's market isn't it? What is the REAL cost of that system INCLUDING what is required for the rebate? I'll probably buy a new computer in a couple years. I don't go back to Win 3.1 but what I have is quite adequate and will continue to be until there are new applications that soak up memory and drive space. I probably won't bother with a low end machine IF I buy another system and that one will likely last me for many years. The frequency of replacing pc's is going the direction of the frequency of replacing any other saturated market item such as cars and refrigerators. They still sell, but the growth of the market is limited.
