It is clear that they can accept nothing less than the end of Israel itself. They never made a peace proposal at all after Oslo, even though Barak made a very good opening proposal. Remember how bargaining works? I say X, you say Y, and we meet somewhere in the middle? Arafat never replied. The minute Arafat signs a peace treaty he is a dead man, and he knows it. So he cannot bargain at all.

How can you blame Israel for that?
