"Apple doesn't charge more for an upgrade from an older system than from a more recent system." Apple won't give me an upgrade to Mac OS X for my PowerBook G3. I have to have to upgrade to more recent hardware. I have to have more memory. I have to have 1.5 GB of disk space. So it's not free for me.
