1. How is it over the top? It's an exact description of what happened and how I feel about it. 2. Yes, pain is extraordinary effective. That's why we all instinctively shrink from applying it...we understand how helpless and vulnerable it makes us, and we don't want to find ourselves placed in the same situation. Humans are naturally empathetic. Even I am, surprising as I'm sure that sounds to you. I just choose to place my empathy at the disposal of the victims. 3. Cosmicforce is suggesting LSD rather than a vise: I don't see how one could be excused as more humane than the other. 4. I am not a raving, name-calling maniac.
