Today's reporters grew up and were trained during the Vietnam era of suspicion about the military, which they can only identify with an unpopular war; not during WWII where everyone supported the military in a popular war. It's evident, and the public is showing through posts like yours that we know the difference, even if the media doesn't. The media is flaunting its ignorance and injuring its own credibility. They also need an education about cause and effect, why this information could prove harmful. Obviously they can't figure it out themselves.

I'm reminded of a news conference that took place right after what I think was a first in major organ transplants -- maybe it was heart and lungs. One bright, aggressive reporter called out to the doctor, "What is the condition of the donor?"
