The unruly media is just fine, and the more suspicious the better. Credibility of people like Rumsfeld will carry the ball forward and focus attention productively..

I'd rather see Rumsfeld focus his attention on outsmarting OBL than trying to be responsive to the media without letting military secrets slip, or inadvertently misleading them while protecting military secrets only to be called a liar.

Historically, wars have been won and lost because of superior intelligence. If Osama faced the media every day, do you think he'd even be alive now?
