I't more like a lie with some support. You really can't go around bashing unions without some of the stink being on the union members. It doesn't indicate that you don't like the police for firefighters, but it does indicate that you don't like all of the things that the majority of them support. As I said, this is the inverse variation of the strawman argument where you build up an ideal image that you claim to support.

Your position would be more defendable if you allowed some shade of grey in the black and white picture you paint of unions and general secular organizations.
