All the more reason for these countries to become functioning democracies ... that way the people would have a say in how their countries are run ... Do you really believe that Democracy would bring any improvements to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia. Osama bin Laden would most likely win any election that was held in either of these two countries. No, a functioning middle class economy is a prerequisite before any of the Islamic Nations are ready for democracy.
