In "Format", how does one change "Cluster Size"? I was unable to "Defrag" my 19-20GB hard drive because the cluster size was 4K (should be 16K if only 1 partition). When I went to reformat, I realized I didn't know which switch to enter to force the change in cluster size (if there is such a switch). I've seen some products advertising the ability to change cluster size, so I'm wondering if whoever originally formatted this drive didn't use some 3rd party software on it. I just sold my old ThinkPad on eBay on which I was running Win 3.1. That DOS had extensive HELP for FORMAT, but I never thought I'd need it. I also gave my DOS manual to a friend to whom I gave an old Leading Edge system for her daughter. I wound up partitioning the HD into 3 partitions, none of which is larger than 8GB. This might work out, since I have streamlined my system and dedicated the "D" logical drive to the tons of digital scans and photos I have. I was then able to defrag all 3 logical drives. Still, I am curious how I can change the cluster size if I need to do so down the road.
