Lola, imagine this:

- you, a high paid specialist on arachnids

- you have two job offers, one from a newspaper who is willing to pay you 10,000$ per day for your consulting services; the other is from the Government of Canada who will pay you $2,000 per day because that's "the price" they set.

Both contracts are for the same number of days. Both are for the same type of work. Both have the same hours, same benefits and both serve coffee, tea or filtered water of your choosing.

Which do you pick?

The government is not in the business of breaking trade and intellectual property laws in order to get "its price".

Note that the Canadian drug manufacturer that produces the generic drug is also a past contributor to the Liberal Party of Canada...
