Arafat does not want a truce, and even if he did, he could not control the harder elements of his faction. This will not go away anytime soon. Neither side is going to give up anything. Why not pour money in? After all we are pouring money into the airline industry now, and trying to buoy up the whole country with government monies. Oh, maybe that is my money! I will have to check out my bank account, and see what I will owe the IRS for all of this. Oh, I forgot, the government can print all the money that they need, and it will all be OK. Go gold!
