My brother's wife has nothing to say about buying a new pc. My brother isn't even married. None of my friends plan on buying a new system. We all used to buy every 12-18 months. ALL of us did and now NONE of us are.

What is the trend in pc growth?

There are millions of TV's, cd players, dvd players, printers, refrigerators, cars, cell phones, cam corders, microwaves, prozac pills, nike shoes, light bulbs, gallons of gas, microscope slides, jars of spaghetti sauce, rolls of toilet paper, cans of coke, etc, etc, etc, etc sold each year too.

So what?

Microsoft will do ok because the box makers are forced to buy a copy of windows for each pc and don't have any pricing pressure on it. What's new?

Doesn't mean that microsoft will break out of a trading range or see increasing growth to any extent.

What did microsoft say about the trend in pc sales?
