"China gets its economic growth from the USA" HJ, the thing we have not understood yet is that this is no longer as true as it once was. China is insulated from the global downturn in part because it is turning into a giant market in its own right -- come have a look. It is really something to see. Japan cannot seem to rise above the level of "exporter to the USA" -- and that is one of their main problems. But China is becoming a growth engine unto itself -- a fact lost on most people because it has been a long time coming. Now, it is here and it is happening. China is coming of age. Japan is scared shitless. And the USA is just starting to fathom the implications.
