I vaguely recall Paul making such a statement but not thinking much of it as AMD management had already disclosed as much... Oh and by the way, during the period q1/99 to q3/01, during which goodwill skyrocketed by $5.4 billion and L/T investments plummetedby $2.4 billion, q3/01 quarterly earnings of $106 million were lower by $1.9 billion than the $2.0 billion in q1/99...Hopefully for INTC afficiondos the startling adverse changes in these categories over this period is behind, 'cause if not, it's red ahead!
