Dear Carl: I wonder if you or anyone you know who apparently believes in the positive spin put on these Surrahs in Koran, would be willing to go to any of the Islamic countries (e.g. Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, etc. etc.), and try to educate the vast majority of people who are following the Islamic framework and yet are not aware of the translation you have advocated. Being originally from Iran, I am sure they all will agree with you once you explain to them what Koran is all about and what it tries to say (per the translations you have provided), and I am sure they will be very understanding and will fully accept your views - and will change their interpretation of the same surrahs immediately. And that, my friend, would be the best deed you could ever do in this world. (ooops... sorry I started my sentence with "And")! :) Regards,
