The public unions are actually the worst, ESP. the teachers unions. Compounding the problem here, in the State legislature there are more teachers than any other profession - even lawyers.

They actually passed a law here that if a school district doesn't settle with their union by a specific date, the State starts withholding money from the district. It adds up fast. There are no consequences to the union if the contracts aren't settled in time. Guess what happens every year?
