No, but have you heard of Arafat's envoy top Jerusalem? Sari Nusseibeh. A voice of reason, at last.


A few caveats about Nusseibeh, Carolyn.

1. He replaces the late Faisal Husseini in East Jerusalem in Orient House (if the Israelis weren't still holding on to it). Husseini was never a member of the PA; he was too prominent, from an old Jerusalem family (his uncle was the late unlamented Mufti of Jerusalem) and Arafat kept him at arms length. No sign it's different with Nusseibeh, who's from the same stock.

2. Nusseibeh was a voice of reason speaking to a roomful of Israelis. Show me the same voice, in Arabic, speaking to a Palestinian audience and I'll begin to believe it.
