Third hand information, for what it's worth:

A young girl in Montreal (a friend of a friend) was dating a young man of Arab descent. Few days before September 11th, this man supposedly told her that he was off to New York. He also told her not to take any planes that day and warned her not to go in shopping malls on October 31st. At that time she did not think anything of what he had said to her.

Apparently she has not seen or heard from her boyfriend ever since the attack. I would presume that she advised the police of this information.

Like I said, I haven't spoken to this person and I don't know the accuracy of what she said. However, seeing that Halloween is on October 31st and considering all the Anthrax scare, I am somewhat concerned about possible tampering with some of the candies.

Hopefully I am over-reacting.
