We're in a heap of trouble if this is true. As you say, almost no-one uses PFM applications on their PCs. I think PFMs for most people will go away once good account aggregation occurs. After 12 years of entering data into Quicken, I'm getting tired of it. I download as many transactions as I can, but a lot of these still need to be fixed up for lack of good information. "CHECK 1034" isn't very descriptive.

Someday when most transactions are non-cash based, I hope they will automatically update my aggregated account status without any action on my part. This is a ways off, and will have a very hard time overcoming (valid) invasion of privacy fears.
